My Grandma and Me

I never got to meet my grandma but I loved her from my heart. She was a good person. My grandma passed away from cancer. I was not born yet, so I never knew her.

I have seen my grandma before. I have her on my shirt. She was my mom’s mom.

She passed away in 2007 before my brother, sister, and I were born. She was a lovely person that we heard about. She helped people like they were her family. She opened her home to anyone. She loves to party and cook out on her birthday. And she loved to sing.

I wish she wouldn’t have passed on. I would have loved to meet her. She liked the O’Jays.

The others felt sad because her birthday just passed and she was not here to celebrate with us because cancer took her away from us. I love her and I wish that she was here for me to meet her. The stories my family tell me make me happy. My mommy and dad show me so much love. My sister and my big brother also love me so much.

They are older than me. I have five siblings.

One day soon we will get a cure for cancer and then more grandmothers, parents, or just people with cancer won’t pass on and they will still be with their family.
