THE BIG BOOK BASH — MAY 16, 2026
This spring, we will be releasing our 20th and 21st professionally published youth anthologies and we think that deserves a BIG celebration. Please save the date for 826DC’s Big Book Bash at Arena Stage on Saturday, May 16th at 5:00pm. We will be releasing our newest Young Authors Book Project, a stunning book of social commentary poetry by a group of 10th and 11th grade students at HD Woodson High School. In addition, we are delighted to have our first perfectly bound professional anthology from our After-School Writing Lab students, a collection of short stories on understanding and misunderstanding.
The evening will feature students, ranging from kindergarteners to high school students, reading their writing from across 826DC programs. It promises to be a powerful event to hear directly from the minds, the imaginations and the creativity of our city’s talented youth. Please save the date and click here to RSVP!
