Sarah Richman, 826DC’s Associate Director of Communications and Development, has overseen our shop for the last five years. Here are some of her favorite products!
“These are our two anthologies of student writing. Together, they feature just over a decade of 826DC student-written stories, poems, essays, artwork, and more. If you want an overall sense of what the young writers we serve are creating, I’ll always recommend that you check these out.”
“If I had to pick another favorite book by our students, it would probably be This Time They Hear You. It’s a collection of science-inspired fairy tales, written by third-grade students from Bridges PCS.”
“These shirts are so soft, they wash well, and the colors look great on everyone. Most importantly, they’re a real conversation starter! When more people know about us, more local students and teachers can discover and benefit from 826DC’s free writing programs.”
“I love how much joy people get out of these. It’s one of the products I’m most proud of introducing to the shop. I mean… just look at them.”
“This book lets you take a peek into 826 chapters and 826-inspired organizations all over the country and the world.”
“I’m drinking tea out of one right now! There’s just something about a good mug. I know I’m biased because I’m the one who ordered these, but this is a very good mug. It has a satisfying weight to it, holds a lot, and it’s dishwasher safe. What’s not to love?”
Come check them out for yourself!
“I’m really excited for folks to discover—or rediscover—how cool this shop is,” said Sarah. “Margaret Kelley, our new Store Coordinator, is doing a wonderful job maintaining and revitalizing the store experience! Even if you never make a purchase here, you’re going to have fun in this space.”
