Reading Recs for YABP

826DC is looking for journalism reading recommendations to share with a cohort of seventh-grade scholars at Brookland Middle School!

We’re working with them on an anthology of narrative journalism for this year’s Young Authors’ Book Project. Their writing will explore and express what it’s really like to live and grow up in Washington, DC.

What We’re Interested In

Must-read columns, editorial writing that got you thinking, great local reporting about DC, an interview in which you learned something unexpected, and/or can’t-miss narrative features! If you have any favorite journalists, we’d love to hear about them, too.
