826DC Public Engagement and Design Intern

The Public Engagement and Design Intern helps 826DC strengthen our relationships with the local literary scene and the community. They represent 826DC at our onsite magic shop, via their graphic design skills, through our consignment program with local bookstores, and more. It’s an excellent opportunity to experiment with how creativity can fit with a career in nonprofit communications and development.

826DC Educational Programming Intern

Educational Programming Interns support 826DC’s onsite and offsite writing programs, publishing projects, and resource and curriculum development! You’ll work directly with our students, getting firsthand classroom management experience and finding your stride as an educator. You’ll also get to dive into the backend of our writing programs. That will involve everything from working with student involvement data to proofreading, bookbinding, and more.
