Right now, donations to 826DC will double, going twice as far to support the local young people we serve.
Board members Katherine Feeney and Taryn Fielder are matching up to $10K in donations to 826DC between now and May 5th, also known as #GivingTuesdayNow.
With every dollar going twice as far, it’s a perfect time to support DC students and their teachers!
Here’s what your gift could do:

$25 could help us send After-School Writing Lab students and families what they need to stay engaged, to keep creating, and to continue writing.

The seventh-grade journalists behind this year’s upcoming Young Authors’ Book Project book worked so hard on their pieces! $50 could help us put the focus back on them with a much-deserved celebration.

Each year, our science-based summer programs connect young writers to the world around them. $100 could fund this experience for not one, but TWO students!

Thanks to this match, $250 could bring us into a DC classroom to help lead inventive, meaningful writing curricula and ease the transition back into onsite education.
Will you help us make this tough moment a little more magical for DC’s youngest voices?
