826DC is a finalist for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement‘s 2021 Board Leadership Award!
The Board Leadership Award, created in 2011, honors “outstanding leadership from nonprofit Boards of Directors in the Greater Washington area.”
826DC is ecstatic to be one of the three finalists for this year’s award, alongside our fellow area nonprofits PEP and Carpenter’s Shelter.
“For our board to be recognized as an exemplar in DC’s vibrant nonprofit field is an affirmation of the leadership, vision, and good humor that I have witnessed from this group of individuals over the last five years,” said Zachary Clark, 826DC’s Executive Director. “826DC continues to benefit from its one-of-a-kind board.”
We recently spoke further with the Center for Nonprofit Advancement about what board leadership—and this award—mean to us. You can read what we said here on their website.
Stay tuned to see if 826DC will be chosen for the 2021 Board Leadership Award!
No matter which organization wins, 826DC is immensely proud of our board and all of their thoughtful work on behalf of DC’s youngest voices.
