It’s #GivingNovember at 826DC

Donations to 826DC count double this giving november

In a moment that feels twice as tough, donations to 826DC are counting double to support DC’s youngest voices.

Taryn Fielder, Kathy Feeney, and Joyce Cowan are generously matching up to $15,000 in donations to 826DC between now and December 1st, also known as Giving Tuesday.

With every dollar going twice as far, it’s a more affordable moment to support DC students and their teachers, invest in this community, and show young people that we care about what they have to say.

Here’s what your gift could do:

Equip a distanced learner.

DC students could use a break from their screens! $25 will help cover printing, preparing, and sending more physical resource packets and supplies to students in our remote writing workshops and residencies.

Keep students inspired from home.

$50 will help us send After-School Writing Lab students and families what they need to stay engaged, to keep creating, and to continue writing.

Help fund an 826DC internship.

$100 toward an internship stipend will ensure a stronger and more diverse pool of writing coaches and mentors, way more reflective of the students we serve.

Support a DC classroom.

$250 will sponsor a virtual classroom partnership to help share our award-winning curriculum with teachers when they could really use support.

Will you help us continue this vital work?
