Seeking Young Authors’ Book Project Volunteers

This year, 826DC is working with a cohort of seventh-grade authors from Brookland Middle School to write a collection of on-the-ground reportage that will answer the question, “What does the world need to know about DC?”

This is where you come in.

826DC is looking for volunteers to support this upcoming Young Authors’ Book Project, weekly on Thursdays from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, September 5th through December 12th.

If you’re already an 826DC volunteer…

You can fill out an interest form here.

If you aren’t an 826DC volunteer yet…

Let’s change that! We’d love to have you volunteer with us. You can learn more and get started here.

Can’t join us, but want to support the project?

Donations of any size help 826DC cover the costs of traveling to our partner schools, of designing and publishing Young Authors’ Book Project books, and more. You can support us from afar by donating here.

As we get closer to the publication part of this project, you can also help us promote the book as an 826DC Ambassador! Fill in your contact information below and we’ll be in touch with you.
