#GivingTuesdayNow at 826DC

Right now, donations to 826DC will double, going twice as far to support the local young people we serve.

Board members Katherine Feeney and Taryn Fielder are matching up to $10K in donations to 826DC between now and May 5th, also known as #GivingTuesdayNow.

With every dollar going twice as far, it’s a perfect time to support DC students and their teachers!

Here’s what your gift could do:

An AWL student smiles in the 826DC writing center.

$25 could help us send After-School Writing Lab students and families what they need to stay engaged, to keep creating, and to continue writing.

A young journalist, soon to be published through the 826DC Young Authors' Book Project

The seventh-grade journalists behind this year’s upcoming Young Authors’ Book Project book worked so hard on their pieces! $50 could help us put the focus back on them with a much-deserved celebration.

Students at an 826DC summer program explore nature and write about what they observe

Each year, our science-based summer programs connect young writers to the world around them. $100 could fund this experience for not one, but TWO students!

Two local students work together at an 826DC In-School Writing, Editing, and Publishing workshop

Thanks to this match, $250 could bring us into a DC classroom to help lead inventive, meaningful writing curricula and ease the transition back into onsite education.

Will you help us make this tough moment a little more magical for DC’s youngest voices?
