We're Hiring

826DC is currently hiring a Director of Development, a School Residency Manager, and two summer interns!

Director of Development

The Director of Development develops and manages the execution of 826DC’s ambitious but thoughtful fundraising and external relations strategies across all funding streams. This individual will work with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, a team of two staff members, and volunteers to raise 826DC’s annual budget.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $65,000. The compensation package also includes health care reimbursement, a generous vacation and sick leave policy, 401k match, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

School Residency Manager

The School Residency Manager leads our Young Authors’ Book Project (YABP) and will support our other in-school residency programs and associated publication projects, work that is central to our mission.

The salary is $50,000. The compensation package also includes health care reimbursement, a generous vacation and sick leave policy, 401k match, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Educational Programming Intern

Educational Programming Interns support 826DC’s writing programs, publishing projects, and resource and curriculum development.

This remote internship includes a small stipend. The amount is based on how many hours you’re able to work with us each week.
