We’re Hiring: Young Authors’ Book Project Manager

826DC is searching for a part-time Young Authors’ Book Project Manager to lead one of our much-loved publishing programs.

The Young Authors’ Book Project (YABP) showcases and celebrates youth voices. Over the course of the school year, students get hands-on experience with every aspect of writing, editing, and publishing—from the rough pages of drafting all the way to a polished, professionally-published book.

In this role, you would develop and run this program from start to finish, working closely with local partner teachers throughout the process and truly amplifying young authorship here in the District.

You would report to 826DC’s Director of Education, Andrea Nelson, work extensively with other members of the Programs team, and manage an intern or work-study student throughout the year.

The salary range for this position is $23,500 with a complete benefits package including healthcare, vacation time, and sick time.
