Paddlestar Galactica: A Ping-Pong Tournament Benefiting 826DC

April 15 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

DC’s only philanthropic Ping-Pong tournament is back for year SIX. Support youth writing nonprofit 826DC by joining us for the main event at Pearl Street Warehouse on April 15.

What’s this all about?

826DC is raising money by having volunteers and friends compete in a bracket-style ping-pong tournament. Participants have the month of March and part of April to fundraise before competing in the main event. The more money each team raises the more cheats they’ll be able to “purchase” on the day of the tournament.

Come cheer on the teams as they compete for prizes, trophies, and of course bragging rights. In addition to first-place, prizes will also be awarded for “Best Uniform” and “Bling Pong” (for the individual or team who raises the most money overall). Spectators are invited to help select the winner for Best Uniform.

How can I support?

+ Come to the event! It’s FREE, and our teams could use a robust cheering section.

+ Donate to a team of your choice’s cheat fund to support their pursuit of Ping-Pong glory.

+ Buy last-minute cheats on April 15. For a small donation, you’ll be entered to win our prize raffle and also help a team of your choice in the eleventh hour.

Make a donation today to the team of your choice to enable their cheating and your gift will be matched 1:1 by our generous partners, the Kimsey Foundation and Catherine Wakelyn. Last minute cheats will also be available for purchase by spectators during the event.

This event is free and open to the public! Join us after for celebratory drinks at a nearby location TBD.
