How to Write About Politics And Be Taken Seriously

May 19 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn how to write about political issues and be taken seriously! Whether you want to write op-eds or design Tweets, this ninety minute workshop will explore ways to write about politics and have your ideas considered seriously and not dismissed.

This workshop is intended for ages 12-16

Taught by Shelby Ostergaard

Shelby Ostergaard runs a non-fiction writing group for adults in Washington DC. She’s passionate about writing and education and contributes to EdSurge, CommonLit, and Amplify. She is also still ludicrously proud of her weekly column she wrote for The Eagle, her college newspaper (even if they insisted on using a terrible caricature of her).
